'There is only one day left, always starting over: it is given to us at dawn and taken away from us at dusk.' - Jean-Paul Sartre.
We are all so caught up by the cotidian life, always on
rush, always hoping that tomorrow we will be able to do what we really have in
our minds, to finally do what pleases us the most, to feel acomplished. But we
all end up saying that we are going to do that tomorrow, or the day after
tomorrow and so on. Maybe some of us are too shy to be themselves all the time or
fear that they will be rejected by the 'society' because of their aspirations,
visions of life and dreams. And maybe
some of us really think out of the box, and they are open-minded, but we all
tend to ignore what we truly think and feel. But i have a question, and it is
not quite an usual one: what if tomorrow never comes? What if you would find
out that you have only one day left on earth? Would you stop doing the same
things as always? Would you stop pretending that you are just another drop in
the ocean? Just another leaf in a tree? Yes, maybe you would. And you would
start doing what you really enjoy, what you love, what you really want and have
always wanted. Maybe you would start letting people know what you really think
of them, you would start telling your friends that you care about them and
thank them for always being by your side when even you stopped believing in
yourself. You should thank your parents for taking such a good care of you all
these years, and you should thank your 'enemies' and the persons that hurt you
because without them, you wouldn't be the great person you are today, full of
knowledge and life experience.
We
must appreciate today much more than we do. We must live it like there is no
tomorrow. We must do what we love, be with the persons that we love, we have to
fill our heads with positive thoughts and we have to surround ourselves with
good, loving and caring people that make our lives worth living.
Live your life like tomorrow never comes, like this is your
last day. And you shall find peace and fulfilment. And at an old age you will
be proud of what you achieved.
